India becomes global leader in workplace digital transformation

71 per cent of Indian employees have reached advanced levels of digital proficiency

India is setting a global benchmark in workplace digital transformation, with projections indicating the country could achieve advanced digital maturity within the next decade. This is reported by IANS, a partner of TV BRICS, with reference to the report by software major Zoho.

Based on responses from over 5,000 employees worldwide, the survey evaluated digital adoption, employee performance, and workplace tools.

The study highlights that approximately 71 per cent of Indian employees have reached advanced levels of digital proficiency, outpacing the global average of 61 per cent. India's digital transformation maturity score currently stands at 64.6 per cent, surpassing developed nations and the global average of 62.3 per cent.

Thus, India leads in many aspects of digital transformation, 37 per cent of organisations in the country have already offered cybersecurity training for employees.

India’s strong performance in digital transformation signals its potential to redefine global workplace standards, the source claims.
