Iran intends to participate in all BRICS events in Russia
This was announced by Iran's ambassador to Russia at an international conference in Moscow
Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali addressed a conference in Moscow, discussing the importance of co-operation with Russia. This is reported by IRNA, a partner of TV BRICS.
He expressed hope for the speedy implementation of the preferential tariff agreement and emphasised the importance of the North-South corridor for economic development and security. Iran and Russia seek to increase cargo traffic along the route to 2 million tonnes this year.
Iran intends to participate at the highest level in all BRICS events in Russia.
"We are happy that the Russian Federation is chairing the BRICS framework. We have decided to participate at the highest level in all BRICS events that are taking place in the Russian Federation," he said.
Referring to Iran and Russia's membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, our country's ambassador to Moscow said: using the opportunities of BRICS, Shanghai and the Eurasian Economic Union, the two countries can play an effective role in shaping a new world order.
