More than 400 entrepreneurs from 28 countries took part in BRICS+ International Business Forum
The BRICS+ International Business Forum is an opportunity for organisers, guests and participants to find new partners and discuss current business principles.
“Over 8 years, we have acquired lots of new contacts, business partners, support from the government authorities of the BRICS countries, and this year we launched the first international Award “TOP-100 BRICS Entrepreneurs”, said Tatyana Seliverstova, Director of the BRICS+ International Business Forum.
Applications for the award were submitted by more than a thousand entrepreneurs from the five countries. Experts have chosen 100 best projects. In addition, a new online platform, the BRICS Investment Club, was presented at the forum. Thanks to the platform, according to the author of the idea, businessmen of the five states will be able to quickly find investors for their projects, as well as invest in interesting initiatives.
“The project from India can be invested from Brazil or from China, it will be a multifunctional platform. It is also assumed that it will be multilingual and convertible,” said Anton Sanin, founder of the BRICS Investment Club.
The forum traditionally attracts the attention of representatives of not only the business community, but also the legislative authorities.
“Russian parliamentarians are ready to direct their efforts towards developing cooperation in order to create conditions for overcoming the consequences of the pandemic, improving the socio-economic situation in the BRICS countries,” said Farit Mukhametshin, Deputy Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
The introduction of new mechanisms and tools for the development of entrepreneurship in the BRICS countries, as well as the strengthening of international cooperation proposed by the Russians, was supported by their foreign colleagues. Rodrigo de Lima Baena Soares, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Russian Federation, noted that, in his opinion, together the coutries of the alliance will be able to achieve the most ambitious goals.
“BRICS is a good example of successful cooperation between our countries. Brazil is one of the founding countries of the BRICS and the third largest investment partner of the alliance. We work in a variety of formats: economic, political, scientific and technical. For example, we have created a joint development bank headquartered in Shanghai, which helps in the development of the BRICS countries, but also provides loans to other countries. The main thing is to work together,” said the Ambassador of Brazil.
Another initiative of the BRICS+ International Business Forum was the creation of a business incubator based on the Omsk State Technical University in 2023. It should help aspiring entrepreneurs to successfully develop their business.
