Nepal is enhancing the international promotion of its cinematic art through TV BRICS. One of the republic’s largest film schools, Oscar International College, has become the media network’s new partner in the country. The cooperation agreement was signed by the college’s Rector, Ram Raja Dahal, and CEO of TV BRICS, Janna Tolstikova.

The partners agreed to work towards strengthening the cultural influence of the Global South countries and developing international cooperation in the field of education. Oscar International College and TV BRICS will jointly implement media projects and hold cultural and humanitarian events.

"The memorandum of understanding between Oscar International College and TV BRICS marks a significant milestone for both our institution and our country, Nepal. We believe a partnership between Oscar International College and TV BRICS will promote creativity, art and authentic cinematic voices on a global platform. We look forward to the opportunities this collaboration will create for our students, faculty, and the broader community. Together, we aim to contribute to a more connected and culturally enriched global landscape"

Oscar International College is an educational institution in Nepal specialising in film education. It was established in 2004 and became the first film school in the republic affiliated with a university (Tribhuvan University). Studies at Oscar International College last four years. The main specialisations include acting, cinematography, scriptwriting and directing, editing, sound engineering, and design. Most graduates work in Nepal’s film and television industry.

TV BRICS CEO Janna Tolstikova noted that Nepal is making considerable efforts to promote its culture and cinematic art. In April 2026, the TV BRICS International Media Network began cooperation with the Nepal Film & Cultural Academy (NFCA) and acted as a media partner of the Nepal International Film Festival.

"We thank representatives of the Nepalese film industry for their trust in cooperating with the TV BRICS International Media Network. The cultural and humanitarian track is one of the priorities in the work of the media network because it is an instrument of friendship, peace, and creation; it is a language understood in every country and a foundation for mutual understanding and stronger cooperation. TV BRICS has accumulated extensive experience in organising international film premieres on its TV channels. We take great pleasure in introducing national filmmakers to the world and presenting their works to the multimillion audience of the media network"
