Saudi Arabia steps up investment in Egypt's agricultural sector
Elsayed Elkosayer, the Minister of Agriculture, held a meeting with a delegation of Saudi businessmen and investors from Saudi Arabia, led by Anwar bin Hasusah, Commercial Attache in Cairo. This was reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.
The meeting discussed the possibilities of increasing Saudi agricultural investments in Egypt.
The Minister of Agriculture emphasised that the agricultural sector represents a promising area for investment and the state is creating a facilitating atmosphere for local, Arab and foreign investors in this field. He also pointed out that the fields of agricultural investment include plant production, animal husbandry, fisheries, poultry, and food production.
Elkosayer also emphasised that Saudi investments in Egypt attract significant interest from the government, and seek to increase them, especially in light of the country's recent achievements in various fields.
The Saudi investors expressed their appreciation for the Egyptian-Saudi relations and the recent achievements in Egypt.
