Abu Dhabi has reinforced its commitment to international cooperation by expanding partnerships with leading Chinese institutions to develop next-generation solutions for water security, energy resilience and advanced infrastructure systems, as reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a TV BRICS partner.
During an official visit to China, representatives from Abu Dhabi’s energy sector held a series of high-level meetings with government bodies, research institutions and technology organisations specialising in water technologies, energy storage, artificial intelligence, robotics, automation and advanced industrial solutions.
The discussions focused on identifying new opportunities for collaboration in critical sectors, including the development of intelligent systems to improve water and energy security, enhance infrastructure efficiency and support the integration of advanced digital technologies into essential services.
Officials highlighted that Abu Dhabi’s strategy places particular emphasis on transforming technological innovation into practical, scalable projects capable of delivering measurable economic and social benefits. The Emirate aims to leverage its advanced regulatory framework, robust infrastructure and investment environment to accelerate the commercial deployment of emerging technologies.
The visit also explored opportunities in advanced manufacturing, supply chain development, knowledge transfer and workforce capacity-building, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering innovation-driven growth and strengthening technological capabilities.
