The 10th Iran REC (Renewable Energy Conference) international exhibition on renewable energy will take place in Tehran on 20–21 July. It will showcase the country’s achievements in the field of renewable energy.

According to the Office of the Vice-President for Science, Technology and the Knowledge-Based Economy of Iran, the country’s renewable energy sector is ceasing to be merely an "alternative option" and is gradually becoming one of the pillars of the state’s energy policy. The Iran REC 2026 forum provides a specialised platform for the development of the sector and for interaction between policymakers, representatives of industrial enterprises, investors, development companies and the scientific community.

The conference secretary, Seyed Moslem Mousavi Darcheh, noted in a comment to TV BRICS that the anniversary exhibition will continue the traditions that have made it a key forum for renewable energy specialists, Iranian industry representatives and international investors.

"IranREC 2026 continues its legacy of providing a premier platform for renewable energy enthusiasts, industry experts, and global investors to collaborate on a strategic roadmap for Iran’s clean energy transition. Over the past year, Iran has significantly accelerated its renewable energy deployment. The country recently celebrated a major milestone by scaling its operational capacity to 5,200 MW, with active projects now spanning all 31 provinces. Looking ahead, Iran is targeting an ambitious total output of 11,200 MW by the end of the current Iranian calendar year. To support this rapid expansion, the government has introduced a robust suite of financial incentives and regulatory frameworks designed to streamline private sector development and attract foreign investment," said Seyed Moslem Mousavi Darcheh.

The main topics of the upcoming conference will be the development of the green electricity market and exchange; the role of industry in the construction and operation of green power stations; energy storage technologies and project financing solutions; and the localisation of innovative technologies and the development of national expertise in the field of renewable energy sources. The conference will also serve as a platform for discussing the legal framework in this sector.

In addition to the exhibition of equipment and technologies, the forum’s programme includes plenary sessions and thematic panels featuring representatives from the Iranian government, the business sector and the expert community; scientific and educational meetings to facilitate the exchange of experience between the academic community and representatives of the green energy industry; and B2B meetings. Exhibitors will be able to attend presentations by industry companies showcasing successful projects in the field of renewable energy.

The 7th Iran Renewable Energy Award will be presented during the conference. The award will be given to organisations and companies that have contributed to the development of the sector.

Iran REC is organised by the Iranian Renewable Energy Association (IrREA) in collaboration with the Energy Committee of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA). The TV BRICS International Media Network is the forum’s media partner.
