Leaders of UAE and Uzbekistan discuss multifaceted co-operation between countries

They also exchanged congratulations on the beginning of the month of Ramadan

President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held telephone talks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The two leaders exchanged congratulations on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan for the Muslim community.

The sides noted the high level of Uzbek-Emirati multifaceted cooperation.

The volume of trade between the two countries increased by 20 per cent in 2023. More than 300 enterprises with the participation of Emirati capital operate in Uzbekistan, the portfolio of joint projects has exceeded US$4 billion, the Uzbek leader's press service reported.

The sides also discussed projects in such areas as high technology, energy, geology, agriculture, tourism, IT, infrastructure and logistics.
