Saudi Arabia signs space co-operation agreement with Brazil
Saudi Arabia signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Brazilian Space Agency during the fifth G20 Space Economy Leaders' Meeting, held in Brazil, to strengthen co-operation in the field of space exploration.
The Saudi delegation was led by Saudi Space Agency Vice Chairman and CEO Mohammed Altamimi, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Initiated during the Saudi presidency of the G20, the meeting's theme this year was "Space Economy and Climate Change: Challenges and Opportunities."
Altamimi also highlighted the Kingdom's progress in developing the space sector and underlined the national interest in using technology for sustainable development and climate change mitigation.
Afterwards, he met with executives from important Brazilian space companies to explore investment opportunities and strategic partnerships.
