TV BRICS to analyse outcomes of G20 summit in joint media project with China

Experts from different countries will discuss the main results of the summit in South Africa on CGTN

The People’s Republic of China, with the participation of TV BRICS, will present to an international audience a special television project dedicated to the outcomes of the Group of Twenty summit in Johannesburg (Republic of South Africa). On the business programme BizTalk of the China Global Television Network (CGTN), leading financial and economic experts from various countries exchanged views. In this way, TV BRICS and its media partner CGTN annually examine major international events: in 2023, the Belt and Road Forum; in 2024, the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan.

The premiere of the BizTalk programme on the results of the G20 will take place on 6 December 2025 on CGTN English. The TV BRICS channel produced the participation of experts from Russia, South Africa and the Philippines in the television project. Thus, Aleksandr Pavlov, Chief Managing Partner for Artificial Intelligence Development at VEB.RF, answered questions on the development of the BRICS+ economies and the impact of artificial intelligence on market transformation. Fulufhelo Netswera, Representative of the University of Venda and Head of the BRICS Research Institute, explained how South Africa’s economic landscape may change after hosting the Group of Twenty leaders’ meeting. Cristina Amor Maclang, Secretary-General of the International Digital Economies Association (IDEA) and Head of Digital Pilipinas, shared her views on the creation of a single currency for the BRICS countries and on the digital economy initiatives presented in Johannesburg.

From the Chinese side, the television dialogue featured Nelson Wong, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Centre for RimPac and International Studies of the Pacific Region, and Charles Andrew Tang, Chairman of the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce.

After its premiere on CGTN English, the special BizTalk edition will be adapted into Russian and broadcast on the Russian-language TV BRICS channel. The programme will also be available on the corresponding language versions of the media network’s portal.

“Today, the media partners of TV BRICS include more than 100 media organisations from over 30 countries. We not only shape a consolidated BRICS agenda but also create international projects. This makes it possible to present national experts in a wide range of fields abroad and to broadcast their professional opinions widely. At the same time, collaborative work gives rise to new formats, expands the thematic scope of the media and provides unique experiences. The result of such cooperation is truly interesting and in demand, which is why TV BRICS and CGTN have been preparing special editions of BizTalk for three consecutive years, discussing key events of the economic agenda. On the cultural track, the successful international project of the media network was the documentary ‘Dostoevsky Intercontinental’, produced with the participation of the BRICS countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa,” noted Aleksandra Burman, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of TV BRICS.

The China Global Television Network ( CGTN) was founded in 2016. It is a state media outlet of the People’s Republic of China and a partner of TV BRICS. CGTN’s round-the-clock television channels are available in more than 160 countries worldwide. The network also includes the Global Video News Agency. CGTN’s mission is to provide global audiences with accurate and timely information, as well as a variety of audiovisual services, contributing to the expansion of China’s cooperation with the international community.

During the Group of Twenty summit in the Republic of South Africa, the TV BRICS International Media Network presented special programming on its television channels.
