Centre for environment regulation in Saudi Arabia carried out more than 25,000 inspections
Across different sectors, the Saudi National Centre for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) informed it completed the assessment of more than 25,000 checkpoints, which will ultimately lead to quality improvements of essential resources, such as water, air, and soil.
The Center also indicated the inspections conducted across various sectors and activities during the first half of 2024 represented a significant increase over the number carried out in the same period last year. This is reported by Arab News.
According to NCEC’s General Director, Abdullah Al-Ayuni, the growth observed in the number of visits seeks to enhance overall regulations, including compliance with a detailed schedule based on the environmental impact of various activities and the public sector.
The second quarter of this year has registered an 18 per cent climb in inspections compared to the same period last year.
