Iran and Russia to create innovation centre

Iran and Russia will establish a joint innovation centre, Head of the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology Hassan Zamanian said. This is reported by Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.

Launching the joint innovation center is at the final stages and will be inaugurated soon,” told Zamanian during the meeting with Russian Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Konstantin Mogilevsky in Tehran.

The Iranian official added that the move was necessary to address the problems faced by Iranian medical students in Russia.
Mogilevsky noted the high potential of Iranian universities in the technological field and said the areas of cooperation in the joint centre would be determined by a committee whose composition would later be agreed upon by top officials of the two countries.

He said Iranian and Russian universities have already signed dozens of memorandums of understanding and Farsi and Russian languages are taught at universities on a reciprocal basis.
