Iran is the world's 30th-largest nuclear power generator
One of the few nations in the world that produces nuclear power is the Islamic Republic
Iran ranked thirty-one in the world for nuclear power production in 2023, producing 6.6 terawatts per hour, according to a report published by the Statistical Review of World Energy. This is reported by Mehr News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
Over the last three years, Iran's nuclear electricity production has climbed by almost 5 per cent.
Only 33 nations worldwide, with Iran included, were producing nuclear power as of 2023.
Global nuclear power generation reached 2,737 terawatts per hour in 2023. When compared to the prior year, this number rose by 2.2 per cent.
Iran produced 6.6 terawatts of nuclear power per hour last year, placing it 30th in the world.
