Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Media launches global harmony initiative to celebrate cultural diversity
This move will further social cohesion, raise cultural awareness, and develop cultural tourism
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Media has introduced the Global Harmony initiative, aimed at showcasing the rich cultural diversity within the Kingdom. This is reported by Arab News.
The initiative highlights the diverse lives of residents, covering their professional and family experiences, social and recreational activities, economic contributions, success stories, and their cultural integration into Saudi society. The Ministry of Media confirmed that it will also spotlight government and private sector efforts to enhance the quality of life in Saudi cities.
The initiative will work in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority to organise events as part of Riyadh Season. These events will include cultural, artistic, and folkloric performances, featuring prominent media figures from the participating expat communities.
Over the course of 45 days, the cultures of nine different countries, including India and Egypt, will be represented through concerts, cultural family events, traditional cuisine, and handicrafts.
The source claims that despite cultural differences, expats have found harmony within Saudi society and are proud to be part of this generous nation.
This initiative is a crucial step towards fostering a more inclusive and interconnected society, recognising Saudi Arabia's forward-thinking vision.
This move will further social cohesion, raise cultural awareness, develop cultural tourism, and reinforce Saudi Arabia's position as a regional leader.
