South Africa launches Africa's first agricultural centre

The project is an important step in the development of agriculture in Africa and will help improve the lives of people on the continent

The Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at a university in South Africa has announced the establishment of a new agricultural centre. The facility will be located on 570 hectares and will be the first of its kind in Africa. This is reported by Pretoria News, a partner of TV BRICS.

This centre will use state-of-the-art technology to conduct research, training, and skill development in agriculture. The source claims that the institute will focus on sustainable development and is believed to help address the challenges of agriculture in South Africa and the continent as a whole.

The organisation will operate as a farm where students, scientists, and industry professionals can gain hands-on experience. It will also be a platform for joint university-industry research aimed at developing modern, climate-optimised agricultural technologies.
