The world's longest electric bus was presented in China
BYD "K12A" Electric Bus is called a "land train", its length is 27 meters. It can accommodate 250 people and move at a speed of 70 km/h. For comparison, the usual length of modern buses is an average of 15 meters.
The novelty was introduced in Shenzhen, the correspondent of tvbrics.com reports online with reference to "People's Daily".
K12A hasan aluminum body, the most advanced accumulator, motor and electronic controls were assembledaccording to new technologies. For the first time the electric bus uses a full four-wheel drive of a distributed type from railway transport.
The electric bus has three compartments. In China, it is believed that the "land train" will help to reduce congestion significantly and to improve the efficiency of transportation.
