China's industrial production shows accelerated growth in beginning of 2025
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has reported a significant acceleration in China's industrial production growth in the first two months of 2025. This is reported by the Global Times, a partner of TV BRICS.
The value-added output of industrial enterprises above the designated size rose by 5.9 per cent year-on-year
Specifically, equipment manufacturing rose 10.6 per cent and high-tech manufacturing rose 9.1 per cent. Production of new energy vehicles rose 47.7 per cent, 3D printing equipment rose 30.2 per cent and industrial robots rose 27 per cent. Investment in high-tech industries rose 9.7 per cent, while investment in the information services sector rose 66.4 per cent.
NBS spokesperson Fu Linghui said that the integration of technological and industrial innovation, especially in the fields of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI), is becoming a key factor in China's industrial transformation.
Experts say China has significant advantages in integrating new sectors with industrial development, including a developed industrial system, a huge domestic market and a skilled workforce.
