Brazilian agricultural exports increase by 11.4% in month

Brazil's agricultural exports increased by 11.4 per cent in August of this year compared to the same month in 2025. The volume of external shipments reached US$7.6 billion, according to Brasil 247, a TV BRICS partner, citing data from the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce, and Services.
Compared to July 2026, agricultural exports in August increased by US$760 million. The main drivers of this growth were soybeans, unroasted coffee, and livestock. Soybeans made the largest contribution to the August result: their exports increased by 14 per cent compared to August last year, increasing by US$540 million.
Unroasted coffee exports increased by 24.1 per cent, generating an additional US$210 million. Livestock shipments increased by 174.3 per cent, reaching US$170 million. Raw cotton exports also increased by 45.5 per cent.
From January to August, Brazilian agricultural exports increased by 9.5 per cent compared to the same period in 2025, amounting to US$5 billion. Soybeans remained the main growth product. In the first eight months of the year, their exports increased by 15.2 per cent, reaching US$5.19 billion. Supplies of livestock, raw cotton, fruits, nuts and rice increased.
