Fudan University launches new English-taught bachelor’s programme in global governance

International Organisations and Global Governance degree to welcome students from 2026

Fudan University in Shanghai is expanding its portfolio of international education by launching a new English-taught undergraduate programme titled International Organisations and Global Governance, set to begin in September 2026. The initiative is part of the university’s broader efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and attract students interested in global affairs and international policy-making.

The programme will be delivered by the School of International Relations and Public Policy (SIRPA) and will follow a four-year curriculum fully taught in English. The second application window for international applicants will open from 23 February to 6 March 2026.

The curriculum focuses on the structures, regulations, and practices that underpin international cooperation. According to the programme description, the course integrates theoretical study with the analysis of global policy issues, aiming to provide students with practical problem-solving skills in an international context.

The degree is intended for students seeking careers in international organisations, government bodies, non-governmental sectors, or globally orientated industries. It also provides an academic foundation for those pursuing postgraduate research in related fields.

Previously, Fudan University introduced educational initiatives focused on multilateral cooperation, including programmes linked to the BRICS agenda, which have demonstrated growing international demand. According to the university, the new degree continues this trajectory, reinforcing the university’s role as a global academic hub and a platform for cross-border educational exchange.
