Saudi Arabia hosts Globally Future of Semiconductor Forum 2024

The event aims to create chances for the localization of chip manufacturing and is devoted to the worldwide future of semiconductors

An effective training and job creation strategy has been developed by the third Future of Semiconductors Forum in Riyadh. This is reported by Saudi Press Agency.

The purpose of the event was to empower Saudi innovators and talented individuals in the semiconductor sector. It was organised by the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in partnership with the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

The source claims that over 1,500 professionals and enthusiasts participated in the event, which drew global investments, and over 40,000 viewers from more than 50 nations visited the Forum.

The National Capability Center for Semiconductors, the Master's Program in Semiconductors, the "Ignition" Semiconductor Incubator Program, and the National Semiconductor Hub are a few of the initiatives that were announced at the conference.

By 2030, these programmes hope to have established and diversified the Kingdom's electronic chip sector, supported entrepreneurship, offered extensive training, and drawn investment in deep technology.
