Debut team showcases Vietnam’s talent on global stage

In April, Moscow hosted the 2025 International Youth Friendship Table Tennis Championship, featuring more than 100 participants from 12 teams across eight nations.

The Vietnamese team, consisting of eight students from different Moscow universities, showcased the energy and global engagement of Vietnam’s younger generation. Held in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and coinciding with World Table Tennis Day, the event was co-organised by the Russian Table Tennis Federation and the International Friendship Association. It served as a bridge for cultural exchange and camaraderie among young athletes worldwide.

Tournament officials commended the Vietnamese squad for their sportsmanship and technical ability, noting their role in enhancing Vietnam’s reputation as a vibrant, hospitable, and forward-thinking nation, reported by Vietnam News Agency (VNA), a partner of TV BRICS.
