Zimbabwean government says engineers are central to country's industrialisation process

Zimbabwe's engineers support the industrial revolution

Engineers are responsible for spearheading various infrastructure development programmes being implemented in Zimbabwe. This was reported by ZBC News, a partner of TV BRICS.

Zimbabwean officials said that any nation's development depends heavily on engineering. All infrastructure, including housing, water, and roads, is developed by us.

The Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers president, Engineer Farai Mavhiya Bhiza, said that every progress has an engineering foundation and is essential to daily existence. As a result, the country honours those who have put in a lot of effort and succeeded in a variety of engineering fields.

Those who are making a positive impact on the nation's progress and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

Zimbabwe has seen an increase in unplanned settlements in recent years. Local authorities are now in the process of drawing up master plans to reflect the development.

The source says there is also a need to build roads and develop sewerage projects in the settlements. Farai Mavhiya Bhiza has set up a titling programme; this is where engineers can get involved.
