India undertakes integrated rural development
‘’The Art of Living’’, an international humanitarian organisation, undertakes Indian village development between March 2023 and March 2024
In order to solve difficulties raised by the community, ‘’The Art of Living’’ collaborates with Indian villages like Chhurikhurd, Dhanras, Saliabhata, Gopalpur, and Jhora. This is reported by ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.
Additionally, the programme is carrying out campaigns to raise awareness of issues related to women's health, community harmony, and sanitation and hygiene. The source claims that these actions will further encourage the country's overall growth and change.
This cooperative endeavour has many objectives. In order to strengthen the ability of the local community by enabling and inspiring them to take ownership of the desired changes, the project intends to establish and train a group of skilled youth leaders in each village.
The humanitarian programme also covers health, education, and women's empowerment concerns in accordance with community requirements. The organisation works to increase community understanding of various government programmes connected to community development and supports local self-governance.
A comprehensive non-profit training curriculum including leadership, communication skills, community development, health and hygiene, and the environment was attended by several hundred people from rural areas.
Villagers of all ages gain the knowledge and abilities to initiate social change within their communities through participatory sessions that incorporate games, group discussions, and activities. Beneficiaries of the project include adults and children living in rural areas. The women also received leadership training, which improved their capacity for self-advocacy, organisation, and communication.
Participants felt empowered and motivated after the training, which inspired them to actively participate in community events and support initiatives for skill development, health, and hygiene.
