Li Guangsu, Chinese astronaut, launches on his first space mission
Crew member talks about his maiden space flight as China launches the Shenzhou-18 spacecraft
The Tiangong space station became home to Li Guangsu and his two crewmates for roughly six months. Li was chosen to be a member of the third Chinese astronaut class in 2020. This is reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
The insider claims that because Chinese training institutions have such high standards, astronauts have maintained stringent discipline. They spend a great deal of time training, practicing manual rendezvous and docking training, and closely examining and assessing training outcomes.
Li was also exceptionally good at psychological adaption training, which required her to spend three days and three nights without sleep in a tight space. Li was chosen to be a member of the Shenzhou-18 spacecraft crew after putting in a lot of work and passing all exams.
During a press briefing on Wednesday, Li stated to correspondents that his primary responsibilities on the Shenzhou-18 mission will be to carry out space experiments and testing in cutting-edge disciplines such aerospace medicine, fundamental physics, materials science, and life science.
Li remarked that he was excited to experience the amazing feeling of floating in space without wings, the unique sensation of weightlessness, and the flight speed of 7.9 kilometres per second.
Earlier we reported that Shenzhou-18 will shortly be making its way to Tiangong, China's orbital outpost. To ensure they are as prepared as possible for the voyage, the crew underwent a medical checkup, psychological therapy, and an analysis of their future aspirations today, according to Huang Weifen, a spokesman for the China Astronaut Research and Training Center.
