Russian and Brazilian foreign ministers discuss preparations for BRICS and G20 summits

Diplomats held talks by phone

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira discussed preparations for the BRICS and G20 summits to be held in Russia and Brazil. This is reported by the official website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"There was an exchange of views on preparations for the upcoming BRICS and G20 summits in Russia and Brazil," the report said. The diplomats also considered issues on the bilateral agenda.

In November this year, the heads of state and government will gather at the G20 summit to be held in Rio de Janeiro.

The BRICS summit will be held in October 2024 in Kazan. Earlier, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva confirmed his participation in it.
