Cairo University tops ranking of best medical universities in Africa
He also ranked among the top 100-150 in the world in a number of disciplines
The Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University has taken leading positions in one of the international rankings of the best universities in Egypt and Africa, as reported by Sada El-Balad, a partner of TV BRICS.
The faculty topped national and continental rankings in more than ten medical fields, including pharmacology, public health, dermatology, gastroenterology, anaesthesiology, surgery, ophthalmology, and nuclear medicine.
In a number of disciplines, the university was ranked among the top 100–150 in the world. Specifically, the faculty ranks 78th in toxicology, 112th in urology, and 116th in plastic surgery. In total, more than 20 fields at the faculty have taken leading positions in Egypt and consistently high rankings in Africa.
The university emphasised that this achievement was made possible through the efforts of its teaching staff and the high quality of scientific research.
