China has more than 4,500 companies in field of artificial intelligence
Experts say the technology could change the landscape of global competition
In China there are more than 4,500 companies working in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). This is reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS, citing official data.
The information was presented by Shan Zhongde, Vice Minister of Industry and Informatisation of the People's Republic of China, at the opening ceremony of the World Intelligent Expo 2024 in the centrally controlled city of Tianjin.
According to the official, China now has 421 national-level smart manufacturing enterprises and more than 10,000 provincial-level digital workshops and factories.
The event emphasised that AI is rapidly changing people's lives. Technologies such as neurocomputer interfaces and humanoid robots will have practical applications in industry, transport, education and healthcare. Experts have pointed out that AI could reshape the landscape of global competition.
