Indonesia sets world record for largest Sekubal cake
25-Metre "Sekubal" cake officially registered by the Indonesian Museum of World Records
The Indonesian Museum of World Records (MURI) officially certified Bandarlampung city for creating the largest Sekubal cake in history. This is reported by the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), a partner of TV BRICS.
Sekubal, a traditional Lampung delicacy, is made by cooking glutinous rice in coconut milk, wrapping it in banana leaves, and steaming it until tender.
The record-breaking cake is 25 metres long and 25 centimetres in diameter.
This milestone was reached thanks to the joint efforts of local authorities, community groups, and small- and medium-sized enterprises.
