UAE launches world's first AI-powered legislative intelligence office

The system will analyse the economic and social impacts of laws in real time

The UAE Cabinet approved the establishment of the world's first Legislative Intelligence Office, an advanced national initiative aimed at transforming the legislative process through artificial intelligence. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

This AI-driven system will integrate federal and local legislation, judicial rulings, executive procedures, and public services to deliver an intelligent, responsive and continuously updated legislative framework.

The system will analyse the economic and social impacts of laws in real time, propose amendments proactively, and benchmark international best practices.

This legislative platform will accelerate, refine and elevate the UAE's law-making process by up to 70 per cent, reinforcing the country's competitiveness and adaptability in a rapidly evolving global environment.

The platform will also introduce new AI-enabled legal functions, including legislative researchers, editors and monitors, preparing a new generation of experts in legislative intelligence.
