Dubai hosts AI competition with participants from BRICS countries

The competition attracted more than 3,800 entries from around the world

Global Prompt Engineering Championship 2025 launched its second edition, marking the second day of Dubai AI Week. Held under the patronage of Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the competition brings together top AI talent from around the world.

Organised by the Dubai Centre for AI Applications, this year’s challenge has drawn 24 participants from 16 countries, who will compete in four key categories: Artistic Images, Short Videos, Programming, and E-Sports. Contestants will demonstrate their expertise in prompt engineering and AI tools.

Experts will evaluate performances based on accuracy, quality, and creativity. The top six participants from each category will move on to the challenge’s second round, as reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

Among the finalists are participants from Russia, India, South Africa, Jordan, Egypt, Iran, the UAE, Morocco, and other countries. The competition has garnered significant global interest, with over 3,800 submissions from 125 countries, all assessed through a peer voting system before the final selection.
