Egypt leads Arab region in pharmaceutical production and export

Egypt has reaffirmed its position as the largest pharmaceutical market in the Arab region in terms of the volume of medical products available. This is reported by MENA, a partner of TV BRICS.

According to the official data, Egyptian pharmaceutical products are currently exported to 147 countries worldwide.

In the near future, the country aims at regional cooperation in local pharmaceutical production, regulatory expertise sharing, and the promotion of joint procurement mechanisms to ensure fair and sustainable access to medical products across Arab states.

These efforts aim to build more resilient and capable healthcare systems across the region, enhancing access and equity in the availability of essential medical products.
