Eurasian Development Bank allocates over US$1 billion for development of Kazakhstan's economy in 2024
This year, there are over US$4.5 billion worth of projects under consideration
Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) invested more than US$1 billion in the economy of Kazakhstan in 2024. This became known during the meeting of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with Chairman of the EDB Management Board Nikolay Podguzov, held in Astana. This is reported by Eurasia Today, a partner of TV BRICS.
The parties discussed the results of cooperation over the past year, during which the EDB sent to Kazakhstan about US$1.4 billion in investments, with 60 per cent of projects implemented directly in the territory of the Republic.
In plans for the current year – financing projects totalling more than US$4.5 billion. The priority areas of investment will be infrastructure modernisation, energy, transport and logistics development, as well as industry and digital technologies.
Nikolay Podguzov stressed EDB's readiness to continue to support the development of Kazakhstan's financial market and attract investment, working with partners and international organisations.
