India may achieve developed country status by 2047
Haryana's government official believes that the country will succeed in becoming the third largest economy in the world
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has expressed confidence that India will achieve developed country status by 2047, referring to the state's rapid economic growth. This is reported by ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.
"Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India will succeed in becoming a developed nation by 2047 and is on fast track to emerge as the world's third-largest economy by 2029," he said.
He emphasised that the budget presented by the Central Government will strengthen the four pillars of a developed India: the poor, youth, farmers and women.
Saini pointed out that 40 million eligible poor families have received housing in the last decade and promised to continue to support various programmes to ensure that all 77,000 eligible applicants from Haryana receive financial assistance.
The minister emphasised the state government's focus on equitable development of all regions. Highlighting investment in education, he said 79 government colleges have been opened in Haryana. He also promised to provide 200,000 jobs to the youth in the next five years.
