Indonesia proposes training initiatives for UAE and China

Indonesia discusses joint initiatives with UAE and China at BRICS labour ministers' meeting

According to a press release from the Indonesian Labour Ministry, Indonesia's Minister of Manpower Yassierli held talks with the UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Abdulrahman Al Awar. The Indonesian side offered to cooperate on internships and workforce training by providing pre-training at work training centres (BLKs) within Indonesia. This is reported by Antara News.

"The BLKs in Indonesia are ready to train prospective workers according to the skills required by employers in the UAE," Yassierli stated.

Minister Al Awar supported the initiative and confirmed the UAE's interest in receiving interns in various sectors.

Yasserli also held a separate meeting with China's Minister of Manpower Wang Xiaoping. During the conversation, he spoke about the favourable business environment in Indonesia and expressed his willingness to share his experience in regulating labour relations to help attract Chinese investment.

Minister Wang Xiaoping appreciated the initiative and invited the Indonesian delegation to visit China to further deepen cooperation, as well as to share experiences in personnel training tailored to the needs of Chinese companies operating in Indonesia.
