Indonesian and UAE Presidents sign agreements on cooperation in key areas

Among the documents is a memorandum on the construction of a floating solar power plant in the republic

UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with his Indonesian counterpart Prabowo Subianto in Abu Dhabi. The talks resulted in the adoption of eight bilateral cooperation agreements covering energy, security, trade and sustainable development.

In particular, the two sides signed memoranda of understanding on a plan to build a 100 MW floating solar power plant in Indonesia, on investment in dairy products, on cooperation in counter-terrorism, as well as a letter of intent on nature conservation and other documents.

“Today’s agreements reflect our mutual trust and the limitless potential of our partnership. [...] The UAE is not only a strategic ally but a critical partner in advancing Indonesia’s development goals”

Prabowo Subianto President of Indonesia

Subianto and Al Nahyan discussed a number of key international issues and strengthening ties between the UAE and Indonesia, as reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS. The talks marked an important milestone in the development of the two countries' strategic partnership.
