Indonesian authorities offer free check-ups for its citizens

Rima Damayanti, head of the ministry's primary health service integration working team, stressed that the free health check-up will start in February this year. This is reported by ANTARA News Agency.

Damayanti emphasised the importance of early diagnosis and health screening to reduce the severity of diseases, improve treatment outcomes, and increase efficiency in healthcare spending.

The health screening will be conducted in 10,000 community health centres and approximately 15,000 to 20,000 private clinics that will serve Indonesia's 280 million people.

Screening for children under five, adults, and the elderly will be conducted on the day of their birth. For children under 18, screening will be done in schools.

The government has allocated more than US$288.5 million for the programme, expecting to reach 60 million Indonesians this year.
