Iran and Russia sign MoU on joint microelectronics production
Iran and Russia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the joint production of microelectronic components. This is reported by Pars Today, a partner of TV BRICS.
The agreement was signed between Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and Iran’s Headquarters for the Development of Nano- and Microtechnologies, operating under the Office of the Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy.
The MoU aims to establish resilient production chains and expand access to new markets.
As part of the collaboration, leading Russian enterprises will work with Iranian partners on key technological developments. These include nanolithography equipment for nanoscale engraving, telecommunications multiplexers, and advanced automotive sensors.
The initiative is expected to strengthen the microelectronics industry in both countries, with jointly manufactured products being introduced to Iranian and Russian markets.
