Iran leads Middle East in medical ethics research
The Ministry of Health praised the dedication of medical professionals and their commitment to ethical practices and patient welfare
Iran has emerged as the regional leader in medical ethics research, according to the country’s Minister of Health, Mohammad Reza Zafarqandi. This is reported by Mehr News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
Speaking at the 11th Annual Iranian Congress of Medical Ethics and the 8th Nursing Ethics Congress in Tehran, Zafarqandi highlighted the pivotal role of academic institutions and research centres in achieving this distinction.
The minister emphasised the critical importance of adhering to medical ethics principles, which form the foundation of patient care and healthcare advancements.
Outlining the Ministry of Health’s strategic initiatives, the minister reaffirmed his commitment to expanding the Iranian Family Physician Programme. This initiative aims to ensure equitable access to healthcare services across the nation, enhancing the quality of patient care.
