Iran's universities get THE Asia University Rankings 2024
THE Asia University Rankings 2024 have been released, with a focus on Asia's unique institutional qualities
Using 18 performance indicators akin to the World University Rankings, the list evaluates universities based on teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international viewpoint for a thorough comparison. This is reported by Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.
Sharif University of Technology leads in the country, climbing from 64th to 56th in Asia. Following closely are Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran University of Science and Technology, University of Tehran, Shiraz University of Technology, University of Tabriz, Tehran University of Medical Science, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Science, Isfahan University of Technology, and Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, securing positions from second to tenth in Iran.
Comprising 739 universities from 31 regions, the 2024 rankings distinguish five key areas with adjusted titles: Teaching (learning environment), Research Environment (volume, income, and reputation), Research Quality (citation impact, research strength, excellence, and influence), International Outlook (staff, students, and research), and Industry (income and patents).
