Nizhny Novgorod to host Russia's largest conference on digital economy

The event will be attended by representatives of the BRICS, SCO, and EAEU countries

From 2 to 5 June 2025, Nizhny Novgorod will host the tenth anniversary conference “Digitalisation of Industrial Russia” (CIPR), which over the years has become the country's most important business event on digital technologies and economy. TV BRICS will be the international media partner of the conference.

The event will be held at the “Nizhny Novgorod Fair” and Vysota Youth Centre, and the halls of the Main Fair House will be used for business events. Companies from China, India, and Middle East countries are expected to participate in the exhibition with IT solutions. Foreign delegations will present their developments in a specially designated pavilion.

One of the central elements of the anniversary programme will be a large-scale festival for participants and residents in the open area. In addition, several satellite events will take place, including a large CIPR Tech Week technology festival for young people, the international exhibition of digital art DECIPRALAND, cyber championships, and fijital games.

Russian Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Grigorenko said that this year the country will launch the national project “Data Economy”, which aims to create a fast and secure internet, introduce artificial intelligence, develop domestic technologies and develop tools for effective data management.

“The success of these tasks depends largely on feedback from businesses and their technological potential. Therefore, the role of the CIPR as a platform where long-term solutions at the state level in digital innovation are formed is especially important,” he emphasised.

According to the organisers, over the 10 years of its work, the CIPR conference has evolved from an industry project into an international event attended by guests from the BRICS countries, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The conference is actively attended by government agencies, leading digital industry companies and entrepreneurs. Not only initiatives are discussed on the CIPR platform, but also major government decisions are made and international agreements are signed.

According to Olga Piven, the conference director, this year's organisers have an important task – to form a vector for the further development of the digital industry and to ensure a dialogue with partners in the international market.

In 2024, more than 9.8 thousand people from Russia and 25 other countries took part in the event. Over 140 agreements were signed during the event, including with companies from China, Cuba, and Iran. The CIPR conference is supported by the Russian government and the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, as well as the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media.
